Antique Ice Box

by Ed Ackerman in Models

Description:

This model is inspired by a Gibson ice box “refrigerator” made in the early 1900s.  It is a three compartment design made from solid oak.  The handles and hinges are brass, and the compartments are lined with zinc. The top left compartment contains a large block of ice.  The door latches can be rotated, and the doors can also be rotated between the closed and open positions.  The model can be used in period scenes and is of sufficient detail that it can be rendered in close-up.

 Usage:

The model is contained in a single .blend file with all textures/images/materials packed inside.  To use it in your scene, you can easily append it.

Technical:

The Antique Ice Box was modeled in Blender 3.1 and uses PBR shaders with some procedural adjustment to color.
