Antique Game Table

Description:
From the Victorian period, this antique oval game table has an inlaid chess or checker board top. Made from rosewood with inlaid boxwood squares and marquetry, the table top is raised over a turned baluster column and four claw-like end-capped legs. Included are a set of rosewood and boxwood chess pieces as well as a set of draughts (checkers) pieces.
Usage:
The model is contained in a single .blend file with all textures/images/materials packed inside. To use it, you can append it into your scene as follows:
• Go to the File Menu and pull down to Append
• Find the Antique_Game_Table.blend file and double-click on it.
• Double Click on the Collection icon
• Select the “Append_Game_Table” collection and click Append
Note that the model components are all parented to a master Empty Item represented by the large labeled axis. You can move or rotate this Empty Item to adjust the location and orientation of the model. Also contained in the collection is a set of chess pieces and a set of draughts pieces. To enable either one, go to the Outliner and select either the Chess_Set or Draughts_Set collection and make sure the check box is enabled. The chess set is enabled by default. It is possible that both sets are enabled upon append. If this is the case, deselect the undesired collections in the outliner.
Technical:
The Antique Game Table was modeled in Blender 3.5.1 and utilizes PBR shaders with some procedural color and bump adjustments. Materials work in both Cycles and Eevee. If you are rendering in Eevee, enable Ambient Occlusion in the Render Properties panel and adjust the parameters to your liking.

Subdivision modifiers are on some of the components to smooth the rendered result. These modifiers are not currently set to display in the 3D viewport, but will display when rendered. They can be enabled in the viewport by clicking on the viewport icon in the modifier properties tab for those components.
