Antique Framed Illustration And Mirror
Illustrated documentation is included with the models.
Description:
These models are of a hand crafted Victorian framed illustration and mirror. The oval shape includes bas-reliefs of leaves along the edge. The four cardinal points are embellished with a floral motif featuring an ornately decorated palm flanked by leaves. The framed illustration model contains an illustration called “Rode Bloem” by M. De Gijselaar created in 1830 (CC0 image courtesy of the Rijksmuseum, NL). This illustration is covered by glass. The mirror model replaces the illustration and cover glass with a mirrored surface.
Usage:
The models are contained in a single .blend file with all textures/images/materials packed inside. To use either one in your scene, you can append it as follows:
• Go to the File Menu and pull down to Append
• Find the “Mirror_and_Illustration.blend” file and Double Click on it.
• Double Click on the Collection icon.
• Select either the “Append_Antique_Illustration or the “Append_Antique_Mirror” collection and Click Append.
Note that the model components are parented to a master Empty Item represented by the large labeled axis. You can move or rotate the Empty to adjust the location and orientation of the model.
Technical:
The Antique Illustration and Mirror were modeled in Blender 3.4 and they use PBR shaders with some procedural adjustments to color and roughness. Geometry nodes are used on some of the components and therefore these models can only be used in Blender 3.0 and above.
