Illustrated documentation included with purchase.

Please note that some materials used in this model make use of the Color Mix node.  If this model is to be used with Blender 3.4 and later, the Color Mix node will automatically be converted to the newer Mix node which replaces it, and should look and render fine.  However, once converted and saved with Blender 3.4 and later, the material will no longer work with Blender versions prior to 3.4.

Description:

This is a model of an Antique Victorian style dressing table.  Also called a vanity, it was used to store jewelry and make-up as well as providing a mirror to aid with the application of make-up.  They were typically found in a Victorian bedroom.  This model can be used in a period scene and is of sufficient detail that it can be rendered in close-up.  The jewelry drawers and the main drawer can be opened and closed, and the mirror can be rotated.

Usage:

The model is contained in a single .blend file with all textures/images/materials packed inside.  To use this model you can append it into your scene as follows:

Go to the File Menu and pull down to Append

Find the Dressing_Table.blend file and double-click on it.

Double Click on the Collection icon

Select the “Append_Dressing_Table” collection and click Append

Note that the model components are all parented to a master Empty item represented by the large labeled axis.  You can move or rotate this empty to adjust the location and orientation of the model.  Each of the drawers is parented to an empty represented by a wire-frame sphere.  To pull out a drawer, selects its sphere Empty and move it.  Constraints prevent motion and rotation in any direction other than in or out. In addition, the mirror may be rotated by selecting the mirror frame and rotating it to the desired position.

Technical:

The dressing table was modeled in Blender 3.3 and utilizes PBR shaders with some procedural color adjustment.  Materials work in both Cycles and Eevee.  If you are rendering in Eevee, enable Ambient Occlusion in the Render Properties panel and adjust the parameters to your liking.
