Animcopy
Introduction
Copying properties, modifiers, constraints, and materials from the Active Object to selected objects in Blender is a common action. However, when it comes to animation, this functionality has been notably absent—until now. Enter AnimCopy, an indispensable add-on that revolutionizes your animation workflow by enabling seamless copying of animation data from one object to many, saving you significant time and effort. In the intricate world of Blender animation, where precision and fluidity are paramount, AnimCopy emerges as a game-changer, streamlining animation copying tasks within Blender's animation editor like never before.
Overview
The AnimCopy add-on empowers Blender users with a robust toolset for seamlessly transferring keyframe data between objects. Whether you're working on complex character animations or intricate object movements, AnimCopy enhances your workflow, saving you time and effort.
Usage Instructions
Accessing AnimCopy's operators is simple. Once installed, navigate to Blender's Graph Editor and locate the AnimCopy menu in the context menu. From there, you can access a range of operators tailored to specific animation copying tasks.
Operators:
-
Copy F-Curves:
- Copy the values, timing, and ease of the active F-Curve's keyframes.
- Store the copied keyframe data in the clipboard for later use.
-
Paste Ease:
- Paste the ease (interpolation and handle positions) from the copied F-Curve keyframes to the selected F-Curves.
- Choose to paste absolute handle values or preserve handle types.
- Options to handle angles and invert handles based on the source F-Curve's values.
-
Paste Timing:
- Paste the timing (frame positions) and optionally the values from the copied F-Curve keyframes to the selected F-Curves.
- Choose to replace existing keyframes or append the copied keyframes to the existing ones.
- Preserve handle types, handle lengths, handle angles, and paste values along with the timing.
Key Features:
Selective Copying: Choose precisely which aspects of an animation to copy, including all F-curves, specific transform F-curves (such as location, scale, and rotation), selected F-curves, or only selected keyframes. This granular control ensures that you transfer only the necessary animation data.
Modifier Support: Seamlessly copy F-curve modifiers from the source object to the target objects. Maintain consistency across your animations by transferring modifiers like noise, cycles, and envelopes effortlessly.
Dimension Remapping: Customize the copying process by remapping dimensions. For example, you can map X, Y, or Z values to different dimensions or invert quaternion W rotation for precise control over animation transformations.
Data and Object Animation Support: Whether your animations are applied to object properties or specific data elements (such as bones in an armature), this add-on supports both scenarios. Copy animations between objects, bones, or even vertex groups with ease.
Intuitive Interface: The user-friendly interface integrates seamlessly into Blender's workflow. With clear options and tooltips, even beginners can quickly grasp the power of these animation copying tools.
