  I only see bad reviews, but in fact you shouldn't install the zip file, but extract the AE2BLEND_2_8.py file from the 1.3 zip file and import it into the blender addons.

  It worked for the one time I tried to use it as a proof of concept. Now that I'm on 3.5 and a year later, it's not supported and useless. I've installed 2.70, 2.79, 2.80, and working on 3.0, but still no luck so far. Really disappointed.

  Wanted to work this into my workflow but it's taking the team extremely long to make this addon for the latest versions of blender. So unfortunately it's unusable I don't want to downgrade versions just to use.
