A Moustache Generator
A Moustache Generator uses Geometry Nodes to create a Moustache.
These are all the inputs for A Moustache Generator. A more detailed explanation on how to use the Generator is included in the product.
This is the part where I try to explain how this thing works.
First we distribute the points based on a Vertex Group.
Sampling the Curve to get the End Point position of the Curve.
A switch to change between X and Y axis, depending on which direction the model and curve are facing.
This offsets the Handle Position of the Start Point.
Gathering the End Points in one location, based on the position of the End Point of the Curve. Also adding the position of the object, so the Moustache follows the location of the object.
This offsets the tip (End Points) of the Moustache.
Randomizes the positions of the End Points, so all the points aren't clustered in the same location.
This is in case the Curve has more than 2 points. It randomizes the location of the points between Start Point and End Point to give the Moustache more volume.
This "mirrors" the Moustache by scaling the Curves in negative direction. Also a switch between X and Y axis.
A simple Trim Curve makes it possible to control the growth of the Moustache.
And at the end: sets a Material for the Moustache, and joins Moustache and the object used.
