Very good course. Even if I wont use everything in it today, it will be an amazing reference to go back to if I get stuck with something.
Thank you for your great work Pierrick!

Good course , but the background music is very distracting. Find it hard to concentrate.
Allways a bad idea to put music in the background!

Bit late with the review, but this is the best course I've found. It's concise, slow enough to be easily followed but also fast enough that you can progress by the day
This course and the creator's youtube channel made me discover so much about rigging and taught me more than just the basics I initially needed.
As a bonus, it also helped me discover that I really love rigging
It really puts you on the right track to experiment and create your own complex rigs while actually understanding what you're doing

I'm now a giant step further toward my goal of becoming a professional 3D character artist and animator
Thank you x100 for this course !

To address the comments of not for beginners, I knew what an armature was and I knew I had to place bones and that those bones had to be weighted to the mesh. That’s it.

I came out the other side of this course, after four full days of morning to night, supremely confident that I’ve absorbed it.

It was a challenge for sure to sometimes understand what was going on but if you keep watching it over and playing with your own creation, you figure out why he’s doing it, then his comments/actions will make sense, and you’ll wonder how you could not have understood it to begin with.

A beginner can do this, I know it. It may take more time but the instructions are gold.

By the way I hand write my notes and I filled an entire single subject composition book with the knowledge in this course. Front and back page.

This is a really good course with deep explanation. However this is not a beginner course he is already mentioned that.

NOT recommended for beginners. Waste of money in my case. Not one star because it does have valuable information.

Just like the Alive course very detailed explanation. Clear and easy to follow along and really like the relaxed way of showing all details.

A great introduction to advanced rigs in blender.

It guided me step by step with Pierrick sharing his thought process, making the rigging very fun.
It taught me lot of mechanisms in rigging, and improved my understanding, to be able to absorb more knowledge in the future.

    Would recommend!

Knocks it out of the park. Stunningly Good. Been trying to rig weapons and attachments so the character can self equip. Fruitlessly followed comments threads and some tutorials on the subject to no avail. I was also challenged with FK rigs vs IK rigs. And lastly, when rigging a character with complex packs or attachments, the mesh invariably get stretched and warped through the "binding process" Which required extensive scrubbing and cleaning of the character mesh to fix the weighting. So ...for all of these reasons, I finally bit the bullet and bought PIerric's "Black Belt Rigging Course" All I can say is, it's a great course, and nicely paced, much like "Alive." The sessions don't overwhelm the student as the pace is easy to follow, whether experienced or not. To date, I built a complete rig with FK and IK chains. Moreover, I now know the immense value of constraints and drivers. (Which solved the weapons problem!) Meaning, the course is good to go.

      Hey Fxr,
Why did you give it a rate of only 3/5 if you found it that good?

I liked that a minimum of context is skipped and you don't lose the thread of learning!
