Snake Procedural
A low-poly model of a snake with a fully procedural shading plus additional image texture maps.
Within the Blender file you will find 5 saved procedural materials (chose them from Material Properties tab), which you can use and modify to your liking, and a material setup with image textures that offers 5 different colours (this will be a default material when you open the file).
The Snake’s mouth and tongue movement is controlled by shape keys that you can find in Data Properties tab. There is a different shape key to open the mouth and to flicker the tongue.
The snakes’s shape is controlled by a curve modifier. There is a set of 3 pre made curves you can chose from. Feel free to edit them or create your own shape with a new curve.
Important: when changing a control curve in a curve modifier tab for a snake’s body, make sure to change the same curve for snake’s eyes.
The image texture maps are available in 2k and 4K and include:
-Diffuse (5 different colours);
-Normal;
-Displacement;
-Roughness;
-Specular;
-Ambient Occlusion;
-SSS.
FBX and OBJ formats:
You will find several models exported in .fbx and .obj formats. While some features, like mouth and tongue movement and controlling the shape with a curve are only available in .blend file, I made sure to export all three shapes of a snake as different files and one extra file with an open mouth. The exported meshed are low poly but subdivision ready.
Enjoy!
