Lockheed U-2S Dragon Lady
Lockheed U-2S Dragon Lady
Lowpoly model of american reconnaissance aircraft
Lockheed U-2, nicknamed “Dragon Lady”, is an American single-engine, high altitude reconnaissance aircraft operated from the 1950s–2020s by the United States Air Force (USAF) or the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). It provides day and night, high-altitude (70,000 feet, 21,300 meters), all-weather intelligence gathering. Built in complete secrecy the original U-2A first flew in 1955. The U-2 remains in front-line service more than 60 years after its first flight. This is due primarily to its ability to change surveillance objectives on short notice, something that surveillance satellites cannot do.
