Image Generator Addon Documentation
Introduction
The Image Generator addon is a tool designed to generate images from prompts using the Playground V2.5 API. This addon allows Blender users to create images based on textual prompts, providing a convenient way to explore generative models and create visual content directly within Blender.
Installation
Download the Addon: Obtain the addon file (image_generator.zip
) from the source where you acquired it.
Open Blender: Launch Blender on your computer.
Access Preferences: Go to Edit
> Preferences
in Blender.
Install Addon: Navigate to the Add-ons
tab and click on the Install...
button at the top right corner.
Select Addon File: Choose the image_generator.zip
file you downloaded earlier and click Install Add-on
.
Activate Addon: Once installed, search for "Image Generator" in the search bar, then enable the checkbox next to the addon to activate it.
Save Preferences: Click Save Preferences
to apply the changes and close the preferences window.

Usage
Interface Overview
After installing and activating the addon, you will find the Image Generator panel in the View3D
sidebar under Image Generator
.
Generating Images
Open Image Generator Panel: In Blender, navigate to the View3D
sidebar and locate the Image Generator
panel.
Enter Prompt: Input your desired prompt in the "Prompt" field. This text will serve as the basis for generating the image.
Advanced Options: Optionally, you can expand the "Advanced Options" section to specify a negative prompt or toggle the use of a negative prompt.
Generate Image: Click the "Generate Image" button to initiate the image generation process.
View Generated Image: Once the image is generated, it will be displayed in Blender's image editor. You can view and manipulate the image as needed.

Saving Images
Temporary Directory: The generated image is saved in Blender's temporary directory by default.
Permanent Storage: If you wish to save the image permanently, right-click on the image in the image editor and select "Save As..." to choose a destination on your computer.
