Animated Procedural Parametric Escalators

by RED Visualisation in Models

Every Escalator You Will Ever Need

Good escalators are one of those must-have items for architectural visualisation, and sometimes can make the difference between a mediocre render and a great one. The problem is that every situation is different, every escalator is different. So a procedural approach is essential.

This versatile set of detailed, realistic escalators will cover every eventuality. There are 4 escalators included: high poly and low poly varieties, and each has an up and down animated version.

FEATURES:

- Height adjustable in 200mm increments, up to any length required. Intermediate heights can be achieved by slightly scaling on the z-axis.

- High poly and low poly versions included for the same price.

- Built-in animation. Just append to your scene, and they will move.

- Pre-made empties for easily attaching people (or any other geometry) to any step, dynamically linked to the escalator height.

- Only procedural Blender materials. No textures / search paths needed! This is for ease of use, and to guarantee maximum compatibility.

Very easy to use and adjust. Ultimately, these escalators are based on a standard Array Modifier, albeit with complex input geometry. Adjusting the length therefore is simply a matter of changing the Count value in the array. Each escalator has a separate animation path object parented to it, which adjusts dynamically as you change the height of the escalator. This can be used to easily attach people (or anything else), which then automatically inherit the correct animation up or down the escalator, even if you subsequently change the height of the escalator.

This is the only set of escalators you will ever need to buy in Blender.
